Katharsis/World Without End/Norma Evangelium Diaboli/2006 CD Review

Katharsis where a band from Germany that played a very chaotic and violent form of satanic/occult black metal and this is a review of their 2006 album "World Without End" which was released by Norma Evangelium Diaboli".

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast playing with a great amount of blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing sounds very strong and powerful with some primitive black metal riffing, as for the synths they are only used briefly to enhance the chaos of the music.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very harsh, violent, chaotic and brutal with a thrash feeling at times, while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding black metal guitar leads.

Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams mixed in with some mournful cries, while the lyrics touch on satanism, occultism, and darkness with a touch of Thelema and Chaos Magick, as for the production it has a very powerful and heavy feel where you can still hear of the musical instruments but retaining the raw and primal parts.

In my opinion Katharsis where a very good violent occult/satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Wythdance" and "Kosmic Sacrifice". RECOMMENDED BUY.
